InkZero is a Windows application for reading and resetting waste ink counters on compatible Epson printers. Downloading the app and reading counters are free. You only need a reset license when you are ready to perform a reset.

Check these requirements first

  • A Windows computer with an x64 system. This release is not a Mac or Linux application.
  • A direct USB connection to a model in the compatibility catalog. Wi-Fi printer communication is not supported by this release.
  • Internet access for every reset. Counter readings can work offline.
  • A single-use key or lifetime activation when you choose to reset. Downloading does not consume a key.

Download and take your first reading

  1. Use the download button above to obtain InkZero.exe from inkzero.app.
  2. Open the application on your Windows PC and connect the printer by USB.
  3. Check the detected model and choose Read counters.
  4. Review the reading and messages. Use Save to export a reading if you need to compare results or request help.

The supplied release is an unsigned executable. Windows may show a publisher warning. Check that the download came from this site and keep your system’s security protections enabled. If you cannot open it, send the exact message to support.

What is free, and what is paid?

Reading counters is always free. A single reset key costs $5.99; five keys cost $19.95 in total. Lifetime activation costs $49 for one PC. Prices are in USD. Review the plans before purchasing.

A reset requires an internet connection and the app’s checks. Service the waste ink pads first; resetting the software counter does not remove accumulated ink. The waste ink counter guide explains when a reset is appropriate.

The application source is provided under AGPL-3.0, with third-party notices and attribution; see the source archive and license notices accompanying the application.
